Trail Magic Sauce is committed to offering flavorful sauces made locally, with integrity, and using wholesome ingredients. Our sauces represent the spirit of the Colorado High Country in lifestyle, taste, and use.
Our History
Trail Magic Sauce company was founded in 2010 after many years of producing BBQ sauces for friends and family. As a third generation Colorado native, I wanted to carry on the spirit of my Colorado heritage and venture into the sauce business. Trail Magic Sauce was created in the spirit of Colorado and produced in Colorado. We are a Colorado Proud Company!
The Owner
When not eating BBQ and making sauce, Scott is teaching culinary and hospitality academics at the university level. In addition, he has more than twenty years of management and culinary experience in the foods industry, including: culinary and dining service, instruction, operations management, human resource development, quality improvement and development. Scott is a Certified Executive Chef and Certified Culinary Educator with the American Culinary Federation. He is the 2017 past president and has served on the ACF Colorado Chefs Association board of directors for over 13 years. In 2009,
Scott was inducted in the ACF Colorado Chefs Hall of Fame. He has also served on the West Federation Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education as President and Secretary.
Scott earned his Ph.D. in Education and Human Resources Studies, with a focus in Community College Leadership at Colorado State University. He also has received an MBA degree from the University of Colorado at Denver, with a concentration in entrepreneurship. Currently Scott is the chef owner of Chef Cool Enterprises, LLC which produces the Trail Magic BBQ sauce and spice rub product line. In addition, he enjoys the Colorado outdoors volunteering for the Westminster, CO Open Space Project and works with several other organizations building and maintaining backcountry hiking trails.
